DID World Wide Adds Skype Forwarding!
A few months ago I wrote about how to obtain a Canadian VOIP number for $5. This article provided an alternative to everyone who got tired of waiting for SkypeIn phone numbers to become available in Canada. The only drawback of this configuration was a complex 5-step setup and the need to run Gizmo to accept incoming calls.
A few days ago, DID World Wide announced new forwarding services. Now you can purchase a phone number anywhere in the world and then forward all incoming calls to
- a regular PSTN phone (additional $14.99 fee)
- VOIP provider: CallCentric, Gizmo, and many others (free)
- MSN: Windows Live Messenger (free)
- Google Talk (free)
- Skype (free)
With these new options, it is now very easy to obtain inexpensive ($5 for most countries) local phone numbers and then accept incoming calls on your computer or VOIP system.
DID World Wide provide an easy to use interface for purchasing new phone numbers and mapping them to your PSTN/VOIP/MSN/GTalk/Skype.
